Track: STEM Workforce & Our Community
Maker-spaces and accompanying technologies are exciting spaces being offered in schools, libraries, and community centers. The foundation upon which maker-spaces were initially created of the past few years, “to provide hands-on, creative ways to encourage students to design, experiment, build and invent have started to shift and change” now include community partnerships, workforce development, and ways to generate a profit.
Listen to and ask questions from three organizations that are leading the way in transforming makerspaces, from making and inventing to creating opportunities to change culture and inspire the next generation of innovative problem solvers.
